The Power of Passion

Passion = Power

How often do you truly follow your passion? You know, those things that light you up and feed your soul? Like many people, you probably forget to make time for those nourishing practices that give your life meaning. Why is that?

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.” – Marianne Williamson

It’s not that you don’t want or desperately need to follow your passion. The dilemma is that you become even more powerful when you do! And you’re so afraid of what that power would entail, that you may shirk your responsibility to your highest good.

Why not stay distracted so the pain of not following through on your passions doesn’t hurt so much?

You are totally doing a disservice to yourself, your family, your community, and the world at large by not following your bliss. What I mean is that you came here with a divine purpose, and if you are not taking steps every day toward it – baby steps count! – then you are not living up to your full potential.

So let’s flip this around. How does following your passion make you powerful in the first place?

Imagine yourself, smiling and laughing as you discuss the progress of your newest project. Your family and friends are enraptured at your telling because they can literally feel your story within them. They can sense your passion palpably and with excitement for you.

Step into the feeling of just finishing your passion-filled project, the “I nailed it” feeling of a job well done. Know that you are fully living the dream, and your spirit is congratulating and sharing in your accomplishment. And knowing that this is just the tip of the iceberg, the floodgates are open to your natural creativity and there’s no stopping the Goddess flowing through you.

Feel the calm and confidence of being true to who you really are. That is enough, more than enough, better than enough, rip roaring awesome enough! You finally have allowed yourself to be who you have always been, just no longer hiding yourself from the world.

“Nobody puts Baby in a corner!” – Patrick Swayze, Dirty Dancing

Imagine this is your life, right now! What would give you a boost? Take a minute or two or a lifetime to focus on your passions, whatever they may be. A passionate person steps up into their dream life by knowing it’s going to happen, no matter the lessons learned (aka “failures”) along the way. A passionate person is powerful because she chooses to live life her way.

No excuses, no regrets, no more hiding.

You are already more powerful than you ever thought possible. Choose now to step into your dream life by heeding the call of your passions, the calls from divine spirit bringing forth a new world in your image. Passion is powerful: wield your unique gifts right now for yours and all our sakes. We need you to become You more now than ever!

Blessed Be.
