Self-Reflection

Self-Reflection
by BlackLion

When out walking in nature, by a stream, near the ocean, or in the forest, take some time for self-reflection. Be silent and walk with mindfulness as you absorb the beauty within and without. Observe your thoughts and let them pass by as effortlessly as you pass by the trees, stones, and dirt. What patterns emerge as you flow through your journey?

We can often get stuck thinking the same thoughts day in and day out, and we are surprised that our life hasn’t changed all that much in the past few days, weeks, or months. By reflecting on our thoughts and our place in the cosmos, we can see any recurring themes and adjust our course to keep moving forward on our chosen path. Like a flowing stream, we can easily move over, around, or even through our difficulties by being at ease with who we are.

Self-reflection is one of the many ways to be more at ease with who you are. Take a few minutes each day, whether on a walk or sitting in a comfortable chair, to reflect on your thoughts in meditation. You can often garner new insights and perspectives the more you listen to your inner guidance. Let the troubles of your day roll off you as you seek within for the answers to your most important questions.

The relief you will find with continued practice will allow you to take your beautiful energy and let it flow smoothly towards the next milestone on your travels. Be thankful for all that you are and all the blessings in your life. As you feel better and better, your life will reshape itself to reflect your inner peace and joy.
