Finding a Better Headspace
There will be times when your path will become rocky and your footing will be unsure. Sometimes all you can do is keep moving forward and do the best you can. When these situations happen, take a few moments and figure out what your next step should be.
I have been in a small mire the past few days and have just now seen the brighter side of the path. I have found it comforting to take the time to be by myself and not get caught up in what other people are doing. Often I find it is easier to not say anything than to say something that will make matters worse, especially when I am feeling down.
The only way to change the situation is to start feeling good. Make no decisions if you are feeling crappy. Find a good-feeling space within yourself, whether by meditating, taking a walk, relaxing, or just going to sleep. Once you are in a new headspace, then you can make decisions that will improve your current situation and help you feel better later on, as well.
The only way to feel better is to practice feeling better. If you get stuck, try to find ways to get unstuck. If you are feeling down, find things that lift you up. Take the time to find out what helps you in any situation. Once you’re able to find even one small thing that feels good, then you can start heading gradually back to feeling great on a regular basis. You can do it!
